Excellence in Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activities Award

The Excellence in Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activities Award recognized outstanding academic efforts by 花季视频 full-time faculty in the areas of research, scholarship and creativity.

Recipients receive a $2,500 monetary award (minus applicable taxes).

The Faculty Awards Committee reviews nominations and applications.

Nomination deadline is Nov. 1.


FAQs

Any full-time faculty who has:

  • completed at least five (5) years of teaching before their nomination
  • has not received the award in the last 10 years 

Nominations must be received by Nov. 1.

Select the Excellence in Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activities Award on the nomination form and provide the required information.

Any full-time 花季视频 employee, such as faculty,  deans, administrators, advisors, and staff, can nominate a full-time faculty member for this award.

  • Nominee must be academically and professionally in good standing and have not received any formal disciplinary action within 12 months of the nomination date.
  • Outstanding research in education and/or the candidate's teaching field. 
  • Outstanding scholarship.
  • Outstanding creative activities.

The candidate will be judged on documentation. 

Documentation:

 

1. The candidates name, the name of the award, and a release giving the committee the right to review documentation and to gain information from the community and 花季视频 members.

2. An explanation of how the candidate has stayed current in their field, and how they have performed their research, scholastic and creative endeavors. The candidate may want to include:

    • Participation in professional organizations
    • Recognitions and awards received
    • Innovation of ideas
    • Development of proposals
    • Research and research results
    • Publications
    • National or regional leadership within their profession
    • Performances

3. It is important that the candidate provide proof of the activities that they have listed. For example, the candidate might provide:

    • Papers prepared for their discipline, for publication or for presentation
    • Records of attendance at professionally or educationally oriented meetings
    • Evidence of completed course work
    • National or regional leadership within the candidate's profession area or within education
    • Research in the candidate's professional area or in education (including classroom research)
    • Grants researched, written, and obtained for the classroom, the school, or the community
    • Copies of articles published in the published form (such as a journal with the published article)
    • Copies of recognitions or awards received
    • Reports on ideas initiated or documents generated by the candidate
    • Copies of membership dues

4. The candidate's philosophy of excellence in research, scholarship, and creative activities (less than 1,000 words).
